It will be responsible for all the admissions to All India Quota, Deemed and Central Universities seats in government medical and dental colleges in all states except J&K.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for organizing the NEET counselling every year. The online counselling will be done at the official website whereas the state level counselling will be looked through by the state counselling authorities.
A Foreword about Medical Counseling Committee
Once a student has cleared the NEET examination, he/she is eligible to get admission in MBBS but the college he/she gets and the exact admission procedure depends on the counselling by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). Once the merit list is out, the MCC fixes a counselling date. The students then need to register on MCC’s website which works under Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Government of India.
The students should keep a regular check on MCC’s website for notifications and updates. Students with a better rank obviously get better colleges to choose as suggest by MCC and must join the allotted college within the specified time. If the candidate does not immediately join the allotted medical college after the declaration of result of counselling allotment process or fails to join it within the specified time, the allotted seat will be cancelled.
Admission Deadline for MBBS in India
There is no exact admission deadline for MBBS in India. This is because every college and its admission procedure differs from one another. The admission process, deadline and college selection is majorly based upon the counselling done by MCC based on NEET-UG results. Hence, it is suggested to keep a regular check on the admission details of their allotted college.
